3	Her father, Calogero Bavetta, born ca. 1869 in Sta Margherita di Belice, emigrated to Brooklyn, NY at age 17. Married twice, nine children (6 survived birth), changed name to Charles, died 1909 Brooklyn. Brought over his parents, Salvatore Bavetta and Caterina Mule, and 3 brothers, Vincenzo, Giuseppe, Salvatore. The 4 brothers formed a band, Bavetta`s Band, that played in New YOrk and at Coney Island. Calogero/Charles became a real estate broker and NOtary, with a store front firm on Court STreet in Brooklyn; he also owned houses in SOuth Brooklyn. His other surviving children were Katherine, Carlo (who became an executive for 20th Century Fox Films and died in Brazil at age 97), Salvatore, who died in the flu pandemic of 1918; and (by his second wife) Adeline and ROsalia.
